gopro upload Empty gopro upload

not long bought a gopro hero and used it a few times and ive tried to upload the vids onto youtube and the vids are roughly 12-18 minutes long and it is estimating round 3 hours to up load thes to youtube. i have got a good brodband service thats quick so i am asking if this is the usal time to upload or is there something up?

the last time i was uploading to youtube it was limited to 10 minute films......
